Kaitlyn says that Lydia was "both a mother and father" to her and Alexys, taking note of that her dad was "excessively apathetic, making it impossible to do anything with us."
"She dealt with us and got us stuff we required. She wasn't recently my stepmom," she tells PEOPLE. "She was my closest companion. I went to her for exhortation or just to talk. She was an extraordinary mother and companion."

She adds that she wants to visit her dad in jail.
"I have to know why. I have to comprehend what experienced his brain to do this," she says. "I despise him for slaughtering her and for what he did to my sibling and sister. I miss Lydia each and every day...
